Knight Ridder/Tribune Business NewsJan. 31--A Burnsville home remodeler was charged Thursday in Hennepin County with swindling homeowners across the metro area out of more than $1 million.The case against Scott Rajavuori, 37, is the largest prosecution of a contractor -- both in the dollar amount and the number of victims -- that Hennepin County has undertaken.County Attorney Amy Klobuchar charged the former owner of BIR Construction with 11 felony counts, including theft by swindle and failure to use proceeds paid for improvements to real estate.
